Sew an Oversized Flannel Cardigan (Advanced Beginner- Intermediate Class)

We are coming into fall and this year, fall is all about cozy colour!!! Did you spy the new colourful Art Gallery flannels posted in our Aug. 14th newsletter?? Well we are INSPIRED!!!! The Highland Lookbook, had my mind just streaming with ideas, and I know I can't be the only one waiting to cuddle up in some of that gorgeous softness. Come on out for a few fun nights and let's make some beautiful oversized colourful cozy flannel cardigans. We will use the beautiful Ready to Sew Oversized Jacket pattern as our base pattern. **Note we will not be lining the jacket as we are making more of a cardigan with view A of the pattern. 

This class is geared to strong advanced beginners and intermediate students.

You will learn how to;

• size yourself for an oversized garment
• grade between sizes it necessary
• make small modifications to a pattern to suit your needs
  
• how to pattern match your pieces, if you so choose

You will need;

PRE-WASHED flannel, I'd advice you to wash and dry the fabric more than once since flannel tends to shrink up to 10%

• 3m-4m of flannel **this is more than the pattern calls for since we are not doing a traditional lining but we will need extra for the pockets and for facings. If you'd like to do any pattern matching you may need even more. 
• matching thread
• tracing paper

We will provide;

• all the necessary tools for a successful project
• a printed copy of the Ready to Sew Pekka Jacket
• a sewing machine for in class use
