Shipping and Returns

Shipping

We offer a flat rate of $12 for shipping for all orders being shipped within Canada and $19 for orders being shipped to the USA.  

We also offer local delivery with Trexity, ranging in price from $5-$15.

We are happy to ship to customers all across Canada (and the world!) We endeavour to process your orders as quickly as we can, usually the day they come in, and ship them out as quickly as we can as well!

We ask for and appreciate your patience while waiting for your order!

  • I chose Expedited Shipping, when can I expect my order to arrive?
You will receive a tracking number when we print your shipping label.  We ship out Canada Post orders on Tuesdays and Fridays.  You should receive your package within 2-7 business days after that. If Canada Post cooperates, you should have your order 7 to 10 business days after you place your order.  
  • I choose Fast Local Delivery (Trexity), when will I receive my order? 

When we create your Trexity label, you will receive an email asking you to review your address.  You will then be notified by email and text message from Trexity when your order is out for delivery.  Depending on when you place your order, you will receive it the next day (or maybe even the same day you place your order). 

  • I want to combine two orders for shipping or pickup. Can I do that? 

Unfortunately, no. Well, not always.

There's significant added administrative work to finding your two orders, ensuring that we combine the correct orders, and that we sort them properly. We just can't take that time away from everyone else's orders.    

In the rare case that two orders shipping to the same person are on our shipping desk at the same time, we *may* at our discretion choose to combine those orders in order to save on our shipping costs.  If we find that there is a significant difference between what you paid for shipping for the multiple orders, and what we paid to ship them to you, we *may* refund the difference, at our discretion.

Returns

If you are not happy with your order, we want to hear about it!

Please contact us at hello@fabricationsottawa.com or call us at the store, 613-854-9091, and we will do what we can to make it right. In most cases, we will send you a return label to make it easier for you. 

Returned items must be unused and in the original packaging, with a receipt or proof of purchase. Your online order number will do. 

We can not accept returns on:

  • Gift cards, and
  • Sale items. Only regular priced items may be refunded or exchanged.

PLEASE NOTE: We do our best to ensure colour accuracy in our product photos. (Our photographer is Amazing!) However, due to colour variances in every monitor and mobile device screen, we cannot guarantee that colours will be an exact match to what you see online. Please keep this in mind before completing your order.

  • I was given a gift from your store, but it's not what I wanted. Can I return it?

While we love that someone thought of Fabrications for their gift-giving, we get that gift-giving is tricky and not always quite right. We're more than happy to help you get exactly what you want and need! Please contact us at hello@fabricationsottawa.com and we'll see what we can do!

We will happily exchange or give store credit for items like unopened patterns, or notions and tools.

  • How long will it take for my refund to be processed?

While we make every effort to process refunds immediately, please allow us up to 5 business days to refund your purchase to your original form of payment. We will send you an email when we have processed your refund. It may take up to an additional 10 business days for the bank to process the transaction.
