Learn to Sew a Quilted Witches Hat (Intermediate Class)
Have you seen the trending quilted witches hat all over social media? Well I have absolutely fallen in love with them and jumped at the chance to sew one up!! What a great, fun and festive sew, perfect for a garment sewist that wants to dip their wand into quilting and a quilter looking to expand their spellbook. Hehehehe!!!! Join me for a couple of fun festive nights and let's have fun creating a piece that will last for seasons to come.
This is a class is geared to intermediate sewists and will require a small amount of homework.
You will learn how to;
- Plan your cuts for optimal placing
- Use soft and stable for rigidity
- Quilt small sections separately but with uniformity in mind
- Construct the hat without any exposed seams
You will need;
- Approximately** 5 fat quarters
- 1m of coordinating fabric for the lining
- 0.5m of Pellon 809 Decor Bond Heavy Fusible Interfacing
- Coordinating thread for assembly and quilting
- tracing paper
**I used 10 fat quarters in the sample hat for more variety of pattern, however you can choose as many as you'd wish keeping in mind that you will need at least 1m of fabric.
We will provide;
- All the necessary tools for a successful project
- A sewing machine for in class use
- Soft and Stable foam interfacing
This class has a minimum registration of 3 and a maximum of 5 students.
