Caregiver and Child Mother's Day Craft Class (Beginner)

Come on out and have a fun crafty time celebrating the caregivers and loved ones in your life. In this hands-on workshop, you will learn how to create a beautiful felt Mother’s Day brooch, decorated with basic embroidery and embellished with a variety of beads.
This class is designed with family time, creativity and joy in mind. It is a chance to make something special together, or to create a thoughtful gift for someone you are celebrating on Mother’s Day. We will provide all the materials needed to make a floral brooch.
This workshop is for one adult and child. Children ages 7 and up are welcome, or bring a parent, grandparent, partner, chosen family member, or another special person you wish to honour.
In this class you learn:
- How to thread a hand sewing needle
- How to plan out your design
- How to do some simple handstitching
- How to attach decorative beads
- How to decorate your item with some very simple embroidery
We will provide:
- A variety of beautiful wool felt
- Embroidery thread
- A selection of beads
- A brooch pin
