There's lots of versatility in Bertie, a compact wallet with zipper closure, interior slip pockets, and an optional belt loop or wrist strap. Adding the optional RFID fabric adds digital security for any credit cards inside the wallet. Bertie is the perfect little brother (or sister) to our Bella Pattern.

With multiple card slots and compartments, it easily holds your cards, cash, and small essentials in one secure place. The zip-around closure keeps everything protected, while the detachable wrist strap allows you to carry it on its own or slip it into a larger bag. Perfect for errands, travel, or nights out, this wallet offers a practical solution without sacrificing style.

PATTERN DIFFICULTY: 3 Intermediate

FINISHED SIZE: 4-1/2" wide, 4-3/4" high, and 3/4" deep. (11.4cm wide, 12.1cm high, and 1.9cm deep)

FEATURES: Zipper closure, interior slip pocket, interior card pockets, optional belt loop, optional detachable wrist strap, optional zipper pull tassel, optional chain strap.

OPTIONAL HARDWARE: This pattern doesn't require any hardware but there is optional hardware you can add like a 1/2" D-Ring, a 1/2" Swivel Hook, a 1-1/2" Swivel Hook, (2) Small Chicago Screws or Small Rivets, (2) Decorative Mini Strap Connectors, a 47" Strap Chain, a Handmade Label and/or a Tassel Cap Zipper Pulls

ZIPPER REQUIRED: This pattern requires a size #5 zipper and (1) 15-1/2" single slide. Shop our selection of Faux Metal Zippers by the Yard, to achieve the professional appearance of metal zipper teeth, but with ease of sewing with nylon!

Flat Rate Shipping 

  • We offer a flat rate of $12 for shipping for all orders $149.99 and under (before taxes) being shipped within Canada. 
  • Free shipping for all orders $150 and over (before taxes) being shipped within Canada. 
  • Sewing machines, sewing desks and chairs and bulky items are excluded from the free shipping offer.
  • Flat rate shipping orders generally ship out on Tuesdays and Fridays.
  • We use Canada Post and UPS but reserve the right to use other carriers at our discretion. 

Local Delivery - 

  • We also offer local delivery with Trexity within the city of Ottawa and surrounding region. 
  • We send out your package with Trexity within 1 to 2 days once your order is completed. 
  • The cost is $6 for orders $24.99 and under (before taxes), $3 for orders $25.00 to $74.99 (before taxes) and free for orders over $75.00 (before taxes).  
  • Please note that during high-volume order times, it may take us longer than 1-2 days to send out your order.
