Learn to Sew the Pintuck Poet Blouse Class (Advanced Beginner) BILINGUAL
Are you looking to create something original and romantic to wear this coming season? The Pintuck Poet Blouse by Matchy Matchy will definetly add plenty of drama and charm to your wardrobe. This top is a perfect piece for the season, with simple shapes and very approachable construction it's a great quick project for beginners and intermediates alike. The tops boxy shape and oversized pintucks along with the softly gathered peplum means top will feel comfortable no matter the occasion.
This class is geared toward advanced beginners or anyone who understands the basic mechanics of sewing, like threading and sewing following a seam allowance.
You will learn how to:
- measure yourself and chose the right size
- grade between sizes if needed
- sew an elastic channel
- sew pintucks and facings
- gather fabric
You will need:
- Fabric, the possibilities for this top are endless!! Chose any type of lightweight fabric, the look of the top will change depending on the drape of the fabric. It's likely pictured with a soft linen, so it's shape is more pronounced, but it would look equally stunning in a crumpled cotton or a linen/viscose blend. Please consult the pattern here for more accurate fabric measurements.
- For fabric with a 44" width you'll need between 2.5 m - 3.2 m
- For fabric with a 54" width you'll need between 2.25 m - 3 m
- 0.5 m of 3/8" elastic
- tracing paper
- matching thread
We will provide:
- a digital and printed AO copy of the pattern
- a sewing machine for in class use
- all the necessary tools needed for a successful project
