Learn to Sew a Giant Reversible Bow (Advanced Beginner and up)

Have you recently been inspired by the large patchwork bows? I love them, but patchwork is not really my style, so I've taken inspiration and created Fabrications very own Candy Cane Striped Giant Reversible Bow. Our bow holiday bow is also reversible to a Valentines themed bow featuring a lovely red rose print. Join us in making one of these whimsical decorations for your home or as a gift for a special teacher or a loved one. The striped side of the bow was sewn using a quilt as you go technique, this method is a great way to make something small resemble a quilt. If you have never quilted this beginner friendly version will be a great skill to add to your skills list. 

This class is listed as an advanced beginner class, meaning you have the basic understanding of a sewing machine, like how to thread it, how to do a back stitch and how to follow a seam allowance.  

You will learn how to;

• quilt as you go
• create a fully reversible item
• use plastic snaps
• plan out your candy stripes

You will need;

• Striped side
  • 0.5 m of your two main colours (this is my red and white sections)
  • 0.25 m of your accent colour (this is my green section)
  • if the bow wont be for the Christmas season consider other colour combinations like white, blue and bright yellow (for Hanukkah) or pink, purple and pale yellow (for easter)
    
• Reverse side
  • 0.5 m of your reverse fabric
• matching or coordinating thread

We will provide;

• 0.5m of extra wide soft and stable
• 2 plastic Kam Snaps
• all the necessary tolls for a successful project
• the use of a classroom sewing machine

This class has a minimum registration of 3 students and a maximum of 5.
