Learn to sew a Casserole Cozy (Beginner - Sewing)

Summer is slipping away and some trees are already slowly showing sign of fall!! That means I can start thinking of a nice warm get together with family and friends. There's nothing better then slow dinners on those cool fall day, or when those dreaded white flakes start falling from the sky. Join us in class to learn to sew a nice casserole cozy to keep your fan favourites warm and inviting on the dinner table. They're also great to keep dishes warm while travelling to a friends or families for potlucks. With the holidays just around the corner it would make for a great hostess gift too!!
*The Casserole cozy does not go into the microwave as it acts like a hot pad*
This class has no prerequisites. Come on out and have fun and learn a new skill, or join us to shake the cobwebs off an old one.
You will learn how to:
- thread our class sewing machine
- sew straight and keep a seam allowance
- sew darts
- topstitch
- do some very light quilting
You will need:
- 0.5m of quilting cotton or 2 Fat Quarters
- matching or contrasting thread for better visualisation
We will provide:
- a precut casserole cozy batting
- a sewing machine for in class use
- all the necessary tools for a successful project
