Bold, beautiful, and unmistakably Canadian, the Exploding Heart of Canada quilt is a stunning celebration of strength, heritage, and joy. Inspired by the original Exploding Heart pattern from Slice of Pi Quilts, this version features a vibrant red-and-white color scheme that reflects the Maple Leaf spirit, making it a perfect tribute to Canada’s resilience and unity.
Jennifer at Threaded Lines took the amazing Exploding Heart pattern by Slice of Pi and modified it to reflect Canadian Pride!
With this Quilt Kit, you will receive the original Exploding Heart Pattern with modifications to make with the Maple Leaf Spirit!

Finished quilt size is 72" x 72".
Kit includes:
- Northcott's Toscana in Capri (or Colourworks Black for the Team Canada version), Picket Fence, and Kiss Me for quilt top and binding
- Northcott's Stonehenge Wide for backing
- Exploding Hearts pattern plus the Maple Leaf Modifications
- And just incase the red fabric runs, we're including two sheets of colour catcher for FREE. We recommend that you prewash your red fabric separately with one sheet and then wash the finished quilt with the second sheet.
- plus some extra Made in Canada goodies.
All fabric in this kit is produced by Canadian company Northcott.
*Please note that the sample quilt in the images is made with Moda's Grunge line of blenders. We have decided to use Northcott's Toscana blender as it is more affordable and from a Canadian company. We have made every effort to choose colours that most closely resemble the fabrics in the original sample.*
