Whether you want to make the blocks in any order or follow a 48-week schedule, making one block a week, the Mini Block Sampler is a great project to do with friends. If you start at the beginning of the year, the flow of the blocks will correspond to the themes of the calendar year. 

If you're new to precision piecing - the pattern includes a detailed overview of the required techniques, such as achieving a perfect 1/4" seam allowance, diagonal piecing using the Stitch & Flip technique, matching points, and making half-square and half-rectangle triangles.
