Learn to Sew - French Seamed Pillowcase Class (Beginner - Sewing)

Have you wanted to learn how to sew? Would you like to make a fun custom pillow case? Learn to sew by making a French-seamed pillowcase for a standard size bed pillow! You will learn how to use a sewing machine, how to cut fabrics and how to sew a simple project. 

This class has no prerequisite!! Just come and join us and have some fun!!! 

You will learn:

• How to wind a bobbin and thread a sewing machine
• How to follow simple instructions on construction
• How to sew with seam allowance and pivoting corners
• Grading seams
• Use burrito method
• How to cut with a rotary cutter and ruler

You will need;

• 0.75m - 1.25 m quilting cotton (depending on directional or non-directional fabric)
• 0.25 m each of two coordinating quilting cottons
• Matching thread if desired (we provide white and black thread)

We will provide;

• a sewing machine for in class use
• all the necessary tools for a successful project
• written instruction so you can practice at home
