Emotional Support Chicken Class (Advanced Beginner - Knitting)

Life is hard. We all need a chicken to help make it better! Join the flock as we expand on the basics to introduce shaping, colour changes, and changes in the direction of your knitting. You will learn to join separate pieces in two different ways, and gain an understanding of how gauge can affect the final product. Don’t worry though, the Fabrications Emotional Support Chicken will be there to lean on as you bring your own chicken to life!
Prerequisites:
- You will need to know how to cast on, knit, purl, and bind off

Knitters should have a handful of projects under their belt, and be able to maintain stitch counts in their rows. To ensure that students can finish the class with a completed chicken, it is expected that there will be homework

Yarn

For main body colour: One 100g skein (200 yards) of worsted
weight yarn (please have yarn wound before first class) - For stripes: One 50g skein (100 yards) of worsted weight yarn
- Beak: 4 yards (yellow)
- Comb and wattle: 6 yards (red)

- For eyes: Buttons, yarn, embroidery floss, or plastic safety eyes
- Tapestry/darning needle for sewing up
