Learn to Sew: Quilted Placemat Class (Beginner - Sewing)
$185.00
We have run out of stock for this item.
Do you want to learn to sew and quilt at the same time? This class is for total beginners who would like to learn to quilt. You will gain the skills necessary to use a sewing machine, as well as learn all the steps to create a quilt. Working with a simple, small piece – a placemat – you’ll gain practice cutting and piecing, sandwiching and quilting, and finally binding your quilted placemat. Once you finish this 3-session class, you’ll have the skills necessary to complete a larger, quilted blanket project.
We welcome those who have no previous experience, as well as those who would like to learn
to quilt. The initial session will cover topics such as how to wind a bobbin, properly thread the
machine, and sew a simple, straight line.
