Kids Can Sew - Knit T-Shirt (Beginner)
Has your child taken a class with us before and loved it? Or do they have an interest in fashion, and a willingness to learn new things? If so, this is the perfect class for a detail-oriented beginner with no sewing experience, or a child with experience sewing on a machine with us or at home. We will be making the Rowan Tee, a slightly oversized tee shirt with dolman style sleeves. There are several options, including a patch pocket, two different necklines, and the option for short or long sleeves. Students will have a fun time designing their shirt exactly to their liking! The pattern can be viewed here. This pattern is sized newborn to 13/14yr.
This is a three session class. Please make sure all three sessions can be attended.
You will learn:
- Sewing machine basics
- How to sew with knits
- How to sew straight and curved seams
- How to attach a neckband
- How to hem
We will provide:
