Notes for the Ferris Fanny Pack Kit

  • This kit included enough fabric to make any size of the Ferris Fanny Pack.  If you make a smaller size you will be able to get more than one fanny pack out of the supplies included but you will need to purchase more zipper tape, webbing, and a hardware kit.  We were able to cut a large and small fanny pack out of the half meter included in the kit.

  • The pattern suggests using your exterior fabric to make the strap but we included webbing as it is less time consuming to make the strap and easier.  You may not have enough fabric to cut the strap pieces if you are making the large size.

  • We included a generous amount of webbing so that you have options on how you would like to wear it.  We would suggest cutting your webbing shorter in length if you plan on wearing it as a fanny pack.  If you plan on wearing it as a sling, you will need a longer amount.

  • Cut the zipper tape 1 inch longer than the size of the zipper suggested.  Ex. Size large calls for 10” and 14” zippers so you should cut your zipper tape in 11” and 15” lengths.
